I'd suggest looking at the following two links:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/installing-windows-7-on-your-mac-using-boot-camp-8d9df954-f2c0-2bf9-c400-2b21eb58ec6f

Make sure your Mac is on the compatibility list for the version of Windows 7 (64/32-bit) you intend to install.

Windows 10 can be downloaded for free from the Microsoft website and you can use it for free, with a few restrictions.

Windows 10 can't be installed on Macintosh 10.7, any solutions?
Get a less old computer.
It was some time ago but I managed to install Win 10 on an external drive to dual boot into for my 2011 iMac. It's slow as (choose your desired expletive), due to USB 2 but it works and isn't so bad once it's loaded Windows into RAM.

I followed this guide, maybe it will be of use to you:

My Mac is not from the Macs who supported to upgrade Win10, I need like a guide for Windows 7 and is that need a USB or what? cause I don't know anything about those stuff:( I appreciate you try to help:(
Windows 7 is no longer supported by Microsoft. Installing it would be like letting a time bomb in your PC. Could go off at any time.
There also is no legal way to get a free copy of Windows 7.
