Tropico 6 won't open on my mac???

Hi

Sorry if I'm repeating a common question but I need some assistance - total newbie to this!

I downloaded Tropico 6 for Mac recently (from Kalypso) who then directed me to download the Steam app and gave me a key to download the game to Steam. which I did I've had nothing but problems ever since and haven't even played the game.

It says i'm 'playing' when i'm not and I keep getting an apple message saying 'Verifying 'Topico6.app'. My computer slows down and nothing happens.

I've re installed Steam and yesterday removed the Tropico app from my machine incase it was the wrong version or something. Now i'm just stuck!

My system is as follows:

iMac
Mac Os Catalina Version 10.15.7
Processor: 2.9 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
Memory; 24 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M 512 MB graphics
I have 65.2 GB of storage available


any advice you could give would be hugely appreciated...

If not how do I get a refund? Kalypso says I can't have one from them as i've played the game (no I haven't) and Steam says I have to go back to Kalypso...)

I just got steam to play Tropico 6 and I'm stuck at "Veryfying "Tropico6"..."

I think they’re good. Just gotta make sure you have don’t corrupt drivers.

Try to give Steam/Tropico full disk access in the Settings/Privacy & Security.
