Steam keeps opening on start-up (MacOS Mojave)

I have disabled the startup option in the Steam.app settings. There is nothing in the System Preferences -> User -> Startup items. I have tried deleting the app and the preferences in the Library -> Preferences, and then reinstalling... The bloody thing keeps starting at every restart of the computer. It is driving me crazy at this point. Any suggestions?

That's because (set by default) Steam starts up with your computer, although of course you are able to turn it off (which I personally prefer)

@imNTGames, I'll reiterate, since may be I wasn't very clear in my initial post...

1) I HAVE DISABLED (unticked the check box) THE AUTO START IN THE STEAM APP PREFERENCES! (what you suggested)

2) I HAVE ALSO MADE SURE THE APP IS NOT LISTED UNDER THE STARTUP ITEMS IN THE OPERATING SYSTEM PREFERENCES PANE! (what you linked)

3) I HAVE UNINSTALLED AND REINSTALLED THE APP

4) I HAVE INSTALLED AND REINSTALLED THE APP, WHILE ALSO REMOVING ANY FILE THAT EVEN REMOTELY RESEMBLES ANYTHING TO DO WITH STEAM, FROM THE USER LIBRARY SYSTEM FOLDERS.
