Can't download Steam on my Mac

Each time I try and download steam on my Mac if gives me a message saying "the following disc images couldn't be opened" "reason corrupt image". Does anyone have any resolutions for this issue?

I'm having the exact same issue, and this is the first place where I found a thread about it.
Does anyone having a fix (alternative way of installing steam) ?
Maybe an older dmg file could do it?

I'm getting the same message once I have downloaded the steam.dmg and tried to install it. Been searching for a while and no solution found yet. Which OS are others using? I'm on Mojave...

I also couldn't find any others talking about this issue, that's why I figured why not be the first. I'm glad I'm not alone in this. Still have not been able to figure it out though. I've tried different browsers and everything.

I have now fixed the issue!!!! I updated my computer completely and in doing so it removed a corrupt file in my computer on its own. I now have steam downloaded to my Mac! Hopefully It works for the rest of you as well.

Hi, sorry for the inconvenience. There was an issue with the Steam app dmg that was preventing it from opening properly on 10.14 and below. I've fixed and replaced the file so it should work properly again.
