Cannot stop steam from startup on Mac despite unchecking the "start at startup" option in Steam Settings. Operating System: MacOS Catalina 10.15.x

Solution: Remove it from Mac's list of apps to start after logging in. Go to Mac's System Preferences > User & Groups > Select your user > Login Items > Remove Steam app (may need to enter admin password to accomplish this).

MacOS Catalina 10.15.x its a problem for Steam... try reinstal older versions (10.13.x)

Is it though? I'm on Catalina and it's been working as expected. Also, rolling back to previous OS versions is simply not possible for some. Take me as an example - I'm on a 2019 16" MBP, right now Catalina is the ONLY OS for that model...
