Steam Won't Open On Mac 10.16.15

I've tried to start gaming on my MacBook again but when I install steam and try to open it, the icon appears for about half a second and then disappears. I've scoured the internet for a solution but have found nothing.
Let me know if you have any idea please :)

Hi there, I got a reply from the Steam support team and followed their advice and it actually worked! It went as follows:

Hello,

Please do the following:
Exit Steam if you have it running
Open Finder, then go to Applications
Drag Steam to the Trash
Go back to Finder, click "Go" on the menu bar at the top of your screen, then click "Go to Folder..."
Copy and paste the following, then click Go:
~/Library/Application Support/Steam
Delete all of the files and folders in the /Steam folder except for /SteamApps
Re-download Steam and reinstall the application
Launch Steam.app from your Dock or Applications folder and re-test the issue

If the issue continues, please do the following:
Open Finder
Select "Applications"
Right-click Steam > Show Package Contents
Go to Contents > MacOS
Run "steam_osx" to update and launch Steam
Copy and paste the log from "steam_osx" in your next reply

Also, please locate and attach the bootstrap log on your system. The default location for this log is:

~/Library/Application Support/Steam/logs/bootstrap_log.txt

I had tried this solution before, but it does not solve the disconnection problems. Anyway I try again, you never know ....

Mac OS X 10.16.15 does not exist yet. Probably never will as the version following Mac OS X 10.15 will be Mac OS 11 Big Sur.
