steamui.dylib error on Mac OS X 10.7.5

The solutions offered on the forums do not work for this version of software. Before the recent update, I was able to start up and play on Steam but now not anymore. Please help!!

The error message occurs before Steam has even opened so not able to use this solution I'm afraid. Thanks anyway

Hi, start steam and I get error loading steamui.dylib file and after following the steps of uninstalling and reinstalling I still have the same problem. Can somebody help me? Thank you.

There is no way to fix it right now so we just have to wait

This really is disappointing. Everything was working great until this last update and now after following all past instructions and going as far as to deleting all files/saves, I am still getting the same "steamui.dylib error" on reinstall.

if you update your macs os to 10.11(el capitai) steam wil start working again

Well, if the HW does not support 10.11, it's not an option ... for some of us ;-)
A bit stuck on 10.7.5, so please - find the bug, patch the installer and give us a call

have someone found a solution?? I have the same problem... I am stucked.. Have bought the new Football Manager, and for my sadness, have i bought the game before opening my own macbook... So when i startede steam, the problem also happen for me.. (sorry for my bad english)

Unfortunately Steam is no longer compatible with Mac OS X Lion and lower, maybe even Mountain Lion. The last version that it works on is Mavericks. I tried to find out why Steam can't open and it's because it now uses different files from the framework folder that are not in Lion. Yes, i checked the pinned post, but it still doesn't work for me.
