You must use a Mac computer with MAC OS X.
Keep in mind that Apple dropped support for any 32Bit application with MAC OS X 10.15 aka Catalina.
If you want to play Team Fortress 2 on a Mac with 10.15 or newer you either need to downgrade to 10.14 or use Bootcamp.
Of Course, there are other options to use 32-bit app and games, like one of the comments above says, you can downgrade to Mac OS Mojave (10.14) or use Bootcamp to boot a windows 10 disk for your Macbook.
