Bioshock 2
Why is Bioshock 1 and Infinite available for Mac, but not Bioshock 2?

The publisher of Bioshock 1 and 2 is Feral. The publisher of Infinite is Aspyr. Feral did the new 64-bit remastered version of BS1 and that's why they're selling it. Bioshock 2 is not 64-bit and the reason for not being sold is that Feral has been working a long time on a remastered version.

They confirmed it in their recent newsletter. Everybody believes it's the game called "Save Poor Bob If You Please" on Feral's radar on their website. After the newsletter it changed status from "Quite soon" to "Soon".

There are Mac depots on Steamdb for the game https://steamdb.info/app/409720/depots/ and if you check the history and the ID number 409722 in the history page there have been updates in June and July to the depot so they're working on it.

Aspyr doesn't seem to have plans about updating Bioshock Infinite to 64-bit so they're selling it anyway.

There is actually a way of getting the old Bioshock 2 for Mac. If you buy Bioshock 2 Remastered for Windows it says you get Bioshock 2 too and since you get both Windows and Mac versions of games here on Steam you get access to BS2 Mac too. That's actually what I did to get it too in Oct 2019 when BS2 Remastered Windows was on sale. I hope that now that I have the Windows version I get BS2 Remastered for Mac for free when it comes. :)
