HELP PLEASE! Connecting Xbox Elite 2 Controller with the new 2020 macbook for steam
I recently bought a new Xbox elite 2 controller (I have an xbox), I would like to be able to use it for controller friendly steam games. So far I have found no way to get steam to recgnize that there is a controller connected.

In the system preferences bluetooth settings my controller connects with my macbook just fine. however, when i go into steam and attempt to configure the controller with a game it always tells me "no controller attatched".

When i go into big picture mode - go into the settings - controller setup It constantly says " no device found" I have triend unpluging and replugging at all different points in the process, selecting the check box for xbox controller support at all different steps in the process, as well as restarting steam and my mac multiple times.

I am not sure what to do anymore, PLEASE PLEASE help me.

Big Sur no longer supports kernel extensions. Those are required for Steam to offer controller support.
So, once again, Apple makes it worse for the gamers.
