"The lldb command requires the command line developer tools...." Please Help
Okay I am going to give anyone who is reading this a quick summary of my problem. I was playing this game on steam with my girlfriend all day (stardew valley if for some reason that is relevant) and towards the end of our session, the game crashed and I was prompted with a message that said "The lldb command requires the command line developer tools....". Basically, it wanted me to install something and I did, I reopened the game and it would freeze/crash every time I loaded into the game. It asked me for my settings password because it said that it needed access to do further debugging. Well, this still didn’t work and the game just crashes every time it is opened. I tried uninstalling steam and redownloading it, as well as the game. I also restarted my MacBook a couple times. Please any help would be appreciated

lldb is a debugger, which is a tool a programmer uses to inspect the state of a program to help figure out what's causing a bug in a program. It's not something for end-users to use.

You should contact the developer of Stardew Valley and/or post in the Stardew Valley forums for help with the crash.

Same here, with Rimworld on Mac. Any solutions?

Getting this message too now - for Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms. Given all then other messages reporting crashes and load errors on Mac OS after the recent update, makes me think it's related... I wonder if it's a bug in the update; hopefully they'll resolve it on their end, as no one seems to be having much luck troubleshooting.

Did this issue get resolved for you? Happens to me on Rimworld but not any other games in my library.

UPDATE: 24 hours after this "lldb command" problem cropped up (for others as well it seems?), I opened Steam this morning and it automatically updated - the error is no longer happening and the games that were triggering it now run fine. That may not resolve the bigger issue for the many Mac users who can't load anything after the recent update - but are there others who were seeing the "lldb command" crash? Is it now resolved for you too?

I haven't had any issues today. Super weird. I wish someone from Steam would at least address the issue.
