Watching Friends does not work

My Steam Client says, that I can't what my friends playing, because my browser does not match the minimal requirements for that.
I'm using a macbook pro 16" with newest Safari and all updates installed. What do I need to watch my friends play?

I know that the mac client can't host a broadcast, but I just want to watch other streams....

Is this a known problem?

I just installed it in a VM, still the same message. Is streaming via steam disabled at the moment?

how can I try a different browser? I use the Steam-Client. I didn't find that option to use just a browser...

Open that in a browser, log into your account, open your friendlist and select who you want to watch.

Thats not working. Your link leads to my own profile, where I can select my friendlist and look at the profiles of my friends. But there isn't any option to watch them play.

Well, i don't see any of your friends playing anything.

there are some.... But clicking on "watch" results in this error-message. I've done this before and it worked...

I also tried Firefox and Chrome, but while using browser there is no option to watch my friends playing. Looks like u need the steam-client, which is not working.
