Filtering for Mac OS Catalina 64 bit games
Is there a way to search for games using a filter such as Catalina compatible or 64 bit architecture?

Hey there, sadly there is no current first-party support for this. But you can use steam db to filter for them.

Unfortunately Steam DB seemingly has no actual clue which games are 64 bit and which aren't, half my library is flagged as 32 bit yet run perfectly fine when launched. So basically your stuck with google, hope & the 7 day right of return at this point. I have no idea why they are finding this so hard, I can only assume they have no way of knowing if the underlying binaries are 64 bit and simply flagged everything until the developer flags is otherwise or something along those lines.

Dang, that sucks, but thanks for the link @Tosh, that really helps!

As an aside, it wqould be nice to flag the games in my library that it thinks won't run, but do. A large amount of my games are flagged as 32-bit, but run fine.

I just ran into this problem. I checked the game specs, installed the demo, and it gave the MacOS equivalent of blue screen of death. MacOS gave me the error that I was trying to install a 32 bit program that is not allowed. Nowhere could I find that this game was 32 bit. It also said that it was compatible with 10.7+. It was obviously not, since 10.15 only supports 64-bit.

How do I search for games that are ONLY MacOS compatible? I go to the MacOS section of steam, but the search bar does not appear to respect searching in this section only.
I find Steam so poorly designed that I often just give up and force quit!
