Using iCloud to store the game?
Hi,

So I have a new Macbook Air and its got rubbish storage 120GB. My iCloud has an addiitonal 50GB though and I was wondering if there was a way to download a game into iCloud and play it from there (instead of the local disk)? I've got the new OS which automatically backs overflow up to the iCloud but not sure how to do this with a game?

Any ideas?

Thanks!

That won't work. Best might be to do is get a external HDD and in your steam preferencess add a new Steam library location.

You can try if you haven't already to save on icloud disc, but as Pilleser said that probaley won't work as you really only use icloud to save files e.g. photos, videos or game files e.g. apple store games NOT steam. Reason why is the connection with Icloud is not always constant so you can expect connection drops to happen- this is unacceptable if you are playing valve games as it will quit you from the game and say "error- no steam login (code)". So even if you do get it to work, best is if you get it to save on your hard drives, flash drives etc. NOT external hard drives, they don't work unless you use the same computer but even then, it really mucks up your steam for both computers as sometime the local files don't save properly on the externals.(from personal experience).
