Steam has no fonts/text

I'm running macOS Mojave 10.14.1, and whenever I start up Steam, the fonts are always missing. I've downloaded the fonts from this link, installed them manually to /Library/Fonts, disabled the system built-in ones with the 'Font Book' app at once, but still no luck.

Anyone knows how to fix this problem? Because of it, I am unable to use Steam properly, and some UI elements dependent on text are glitched, like the category selection, menus, even buttons.

Yeah i also use mojave 10.14.1 and got this error.
Nothing i do from google fix this issue :(
- Add Arial & Tahoma font > not working
- Font book > Select all > File > Restore Standard Font, Remove steam.bundle > reinstall steam > not working.

Is there anything i can done to fix the missing font? Do i need to upgrade mojave to 10.14.5?

Updating to 10.14.5, font still not working.
I can use big picture mode though to play game.

- mount steam.dmg > open disk utilities > select steam > first aid.

nope, I don't use macOS anymore but it's interesting to see that this problem still happens

I found that rebuilding fonts and rebooting works. In the terminal app, type the following and restart the Mac:

sudo atsutil databases -remove

atsutil server -shutdown

atsutil server -ping

Wow, I tried several solutions from all across the internet and this is the one that finally worked. Thanks!
