memory use

Hi there,

My son and I both play Terraria, me on a MacBook Air, and him on a MacBook Pro. We find that steam, or terraria, suck up all our memory possible when we play. We use "clean my mac" which lets us free up memory, but things get slow and messed up and it's a super drag to have to keep freeing up the memory over and over. We are both using High Sierra 10.13, and this has always been a problem no matter what version of Mac OS we use.

I have researched this online and on this community and can't find any help.

Have you asked that question on the Terraria support forums? It could be that they have possibly used a wrapper, such as wine, to be able to run the game on Macs and that may be part of the problem with memory usage. I would recommend going to their website thru the link on the game page.

Thanks so much! I can't figure out if the issue is Steam or Terraria. I'll start there.
