Game says it downloads, but it doesn't add any files
Hello all,
I sincerely apologize if this has already been asked but I searched the forum and couldn't find anyone having exactly this problem. I have a Mac running Catalina.
I have two games on Steam, and I know that they both have 64 bit versions. One of them downloads and runs perfectly. The other one claims to successfully download, but it doesn't put any files on my computer, and when I try to run it I get a missing executable error.
I have tried a number of standard solutions, including uninstalling and reinstalling Steam, clearing my download cache, and changing the download location. Amusingly, I have also taken the steps to verify the integrity of the download files, and am told everything is fine. But when I go to the folder where the downloads supposedly live, there is absolutely nothing there.
Many people report a problem where a game starts to download, but then the speed drops to zero and it doesn't finish. My problem is that is claims it *does* download, but the size of the download is zero!
Has anyone else encountered this issue?

What game? It's usually a good idea to at least name the game that is affected.

The game that isn’t downloading is Terraforming Mars.
I have the same problem with Terraforming Mars when trying to download it for Mac! Did you solve the problem and if so, what helped?
Yeah I found it out too. It is unquestionnable that it is possible to buy the game with a Mac anyway. I requested for a refund with this help: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=6695-QIKM-7966

Why though? You can use your account on more than one computer. For example one with Windows.
I bought DOOM with my smartphone.

The supported OS is clearly shown on the storepage. Also even on the preview on the bottom left corner.
Next time, read the system requirements and the supported OS before blindly buying a game.
