Xbox controller not detected on mac
My Xbox One controller, which I connect via Bluetooth, connects just fine to the mac. When I go into big picture mode to turn on the xbox configurations it tells me that no controller is detected. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times already, not sure what else I can do. Any ideas?

Have you installed this 3rd party driver?

Xbox 360 Controller Driver [github.com]

You could also try using connected with the USB cable to see if that helps at all.

Ok so I downloaded it and connected it via USB (tried Bluetooth too for good measure) and the software says "No device found". Not sure what to do.

If you haven't done so already, try restarting your Mac with the controller plugged in and see if it recognises it then.

I don't know what version of Mac OS you have but I had a similar issue in High Sierra. If it doesn't work after the restart (open the Xbox 360 Controllers preference pane in System Preferences and see if anything has been recognised), you could uninstall it via the button in the 'Advanced' window and try installing an older version.

I only have 360 pads, but going back to Version 0.16.8 has allowed them to work for me - I couldn't get any controllers to be recognised using the newer alpha builds of the driver.

Fingers crossed :)
