If there are other Steam-related outputs accessible from Console, I don't know where to find them.
Controller support is also unnecessarily dodgy ... I've got an xbone-s controller that hooks up to the computer via bluetooth no problem, and is recognized by the steam client, no problem, but in between the steam client and the individual games, it's a real crapshoot what voodoo I'll have to perform before I can actually play the game with the controller.
Also note that I think that before losing my focus on the issue I managed to trigger the Big Picture Mode crash without the automatics graphics switching enabled, so perhaps it is more of a mitigation strategy than a solution. (As for the dodgy controller support and other bothers of playing games on macOS, I agree.)
