My scroll wheel makes my steam go crazy.
Whenever I scroll down my steam goes crazy opening big picture mode and opeing steam keyboard and then opening the tab menu. My steam is up to date and the mouse im using is Razor, this is one of the weirdest things to happen to me and i really need some help. I don't know if this is a mac issue or steam so i decided to post here.

I would recommend double checking that your Razor has the latest driver installed especially if your are running 10.13. I use a Steel Series Rival 300 on my 2012 Mac Pro (10.12.6) and have never had a mouse issue like you have described.

I started having the same issue after the most recent steam update. What's you hardware look like?

I have this problem too.... I unbinded my mouse scroll wheel and now it's happening to my right click. Any suggestion? Deathadder here.

Looks like it's just the new steam update. I'm so glad to hear other people are having this problem and i'm not just crazy. Hopefully this will be seen and steam will fix very soon :)

I have the same problem; macos 10.13 and Razer DeathAdder 2013.
Since the last update it is impossible for me to use Steam, I checked the controller setup in Big Picture and it "found" 3 xbox controllers... funny because I have none...

Steam or better Valve dont give a ♥♥♥♥, so dont expect they will fix it anytime soon. I send them three detailed description of the error (same here Deathadder and MacOS 10.13.6 - Big picture crap) and they say it has nothing to do with Steam. They say it is a Razor Problem. Although I didnt change anything my my Mouse driver or anything related and just the crappy Steam App was updated. But of course ... it is Razors problem.

So I just call to anyone having this problem to get their money back for the games they recently bought and dont buy any new games. Well you wont as you cant play them...

So frustrating. I'm also having this problem after the latest update on a Macbook Pro 10,1 (Retina, Mid-2012) running macOS 10.13.6. I use a Razer Deathadder.

Hi, hope this can help u guys a bit
Please keep an eye on the beta announcements and watch for another update. Unfortunately, Steam Support is unable to comment on when a particular bug will be addressed, but we hope to have a resolution soon.

As a workaround, try opening Steam in Big Picture Mode > Settings > Base Configurations > Steam Button Chord configuration > select each input type and change the "Style of Input" to "None".

Elaborating on Megavip's comment: this should be fixed in beta as of a few days ago, at least for Razer DeathAdder's. Currently they are the only mouse that we know for certain was being mistakenly detected as a controller by SDL.

If anyone is still experiencing this after changing to beta, it would be very helpful if you could post a list of which keyboards, mice and game controllers that you have connected to your computer.

Switched into Steam Beta Client, currently stable and no problem with mouse at all.

Just FYI:
