Steam Client Not Updating
I realise that the title of this is a bit self explanatory, but the steam client refuses to update to the latest version. I have attempted reinstalling steam with out removing it and I would like to avoid removing steam but at the moment everything I have tried in the support section has not worked. Any advice or ideas are appreciated.

Same here. It's been going on for months now. I install the update and after Steam reboots I get an alert to update it to the same update again. Over and over. Even grabbing a fresh download of Steam doesn't make any difference.

Yeah, so far nothing short of what I have not tried (complete removal of steam) works

Thank you thank you thank you. It's been like this for MONTHS. Finally fixed. I actually went "Whoa" when I logged back in because the interface had changed quite a bit (for the better). Thank you so much!

I have been having this issue, my Steam account is stuck in 2017. It refuses to update.

I've tried the methods here in deleting all steam folders and files, however they do not exist. Even when I re-download and install, my computer does not create any new files or folders upon searching for them. All it creates is yet another Steam App that is from Dec 2017.

Any other ideas? Thank you so much
