Steam Has No Text

i have had this before but i completely forgot how i fixed it. when i opened steam it had no text/fonts.

i did also try download the fonts but i dont really know how to do it right so that could be the problem.

I had same problem with my new MacBook Pro 13", I solved it like this:

Download fonts from the link below:

https://support.steampowered.com/downloads/1974-YFKL-4947/SteamFonts.zip

Then open the font folder, select all files, open, a new window opens, select all files and install. That worked for me. There were notification that all files had minor issue but I ignored that and works fine. I hope this works for you too.

This isn't working for me... I followed the instructions to install all in Font Book, but after that Steam still showed no text

Why is there still no solution for Mac? I can't login anymore because there is no text. Windows Fonts don't work and are from 2009! Can't even contact any support! This is really bad!

I found the solution maybe. On Mac first press Apple Key + Shift + Dot (.) to unhide hidden files. Then open Finder and use the Tab on the Top "Go To" to go to Library. Then Go to Application Support/Steam/Steam.AppBundle/Steam/Contents/MacOS and open the SteamInputInstaller.pkg While Intallation Mac ask you for Download Permission for Valve you have to give them in Your Mac Security Settings in the Window after you unlock the lock. After Installation I started Steam again and my text was back! I am surprised and wonder if this file was there all the time?

really should work that way, maybe you need another restart or you gave not enough permissions while setup

Same issue. I am on Mac. Where do you download that font ?

I needed no font
