GMOD KEEPS CRASHING! ~ Mac
I've been plaing Gmod for a while now, and yes, I'm used to the odd crash and/or drop in framerate but today it's got SO BAD! Gmod opens fine, then when I load a map (any map, even stuff like construct) and it usually gets to Initializing game data, pauses, and then the game crashes. This has never EVER happened before! I CAN'T EVEN JOIN A TWO PLAYER SERVER, IT STILL CRASHES! I've tried everything, I've got rid of all my addons, Validated the game files and even reinstalled the game. It's done nothing.

Oh, and if you're one of those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who are just going to say with your crap spelling "oh whell just gett anoither pc man!! macs r crap!" Then go away, because no-one cares about you or your opinion. And for the record: I have two Windows PCs, an 8 and a 10, they both suck at handling anything, which is why I play on my Mac because it's the only computer I have that can handle a game at above 20 fps.

The thing is that the people who developed it stopped developing it years ago, and while it still works fine on Windows because not much has changed and it doesn't really need to, on Mac it has incrimentally just gotten more and more broken with every macOS and Gmod update alike. In time, it will simply get worse and worse until you can't run Gmod on macOS at all anymore.

Maybe you have too many mods installed? Mine keeps crashing too, because of that.

I've survived with hundreds of mods. I thought of that too, so I got rid of every single one.

So I don't have any. Thanks anyway.

What's even the point of that comment? Maybe you could think of something helpful?

Thank you so much sir/madam. That has been the kind of advice I've been looking for, for ages! Thanks. I'll hopefully get a Windows soon.

same here, so if I get a better macOS (atm from 2011, pass to one from 2017) it won't change anything (crash anyways)?

I guess so
