The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition - Mac requirements?
Hi, I've been thinking of buying TES:V on my MacBook Pro with bootcamp but I don't know the requirements for moderate performance on a MacBook Pro. I don't really know anything about computer hardware except that Mac's are trash for gaming (I don't have a PC so a Mac will have to do). I've done the research but I'm just not smart enough to understand. Here's my Mac overview:

MacBook Pro (13.3-inch, 2017, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports)
Processor (3.1 GHz Intel Core i5)
Memory (8 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3)
Graphics: (Intel Iris Plus Graphics 650 1536 MB)

If anyone could tell me if I could decently run Skyrim with this hardware please let me know. Thanks!

(PS - I'd like to have tons of mods on Skyrim to enhance the detail but if that would kill the performance then it's not a big deal.)

As long as your Mac meets the same requirements for a PC you should be able to run it fine. You might have some limitations, depending on what workshop or nexus mods you add, with your RAM and graphics. I've been playing it on my mid-2012 Mac Pro under Bootcamp since the game was released with about 50-60 active nexus mods. However, I do have a discreet graphics card and a lot more RAM then you have.

1. The game does not support Mac OS X.

2. Even if you install Windows through bootcamp, your computer does not meet the minimum requirements:
Minimum:
OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit Version)
Processor: Intel i5-750/AMD Phenom II X4-945
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 470 1GB /AMD HD 7870 2GB
Storage: 12 GB available space

The original would be better for you than the Special Edition.

Recently, I want to install The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition on the Mac Mini and Mac book, could you tell me how to do this, because the information on the steam says "this game does not support Mac OS X.“

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
