Manifest Unavailable - Mac Issue
I have had this problem for a while now and it makes me mad as it won't let me update or download any games, especially the ones I purchased from the summer sale.

It has occurred for many games I own which are Garry's Mod, Human Fall Flat, Insurgency, Papers Please, Ravenfield, Team Fortress 2, and Unturned. I am running on a MacOS High Sierra, version 10.13.6.

Please help me since I would like to play some of these games and I do not want my other games to experience the same issue which would literally stop me from playing my games.

I have tried multiple things like changing download region, clearing download cache, restarting my computer, deactivating fire wall, reinstalling steam and reinstalling games.

EDIT: Okay. Since no one helped me about this issue, I found out that the problem was that Steam would constantly ask me to update it, even after I did a couple of times. After deleting some files and reinstalling Steam, it finally fixed the issue and now I can get back to my games.

What files did you delete before reinstalling Steam? I have the exact same issue. Help!

Never mind, I figured it out.

For anyone else with the same issue:

1. Delete Steam from your Mac.
a) Open the Applications folder, from the "Go" menu in Finder
b) Drag the Steam icon to the trash.

2. Delete remaining Steam content on the computer.
a) Hold down Option key and click on "Go" menu in Finder
b) Click on "Library" folder
c) Click on "Application Support" folder
d) Click on "Steam" folder
e) Remove the contents of this folder by dragging to trash, EXCEPT the "Steamapps" folder.

3. Empty the Trash!

4. Restart computer, then go to Steam website and re-install Steam.

Thank you so much for this! I had exactly the same problem and I even asked Steam support and they didn't help at all!

Thank you so much for posting this. I wasted far too much of my time trying everything Steam recommended before finding this via a google search.
