Failed to install app configuration unavailable MAC

Just downloaded DLC for Surviving Mars, Green Planet

It wont install the game, just keeps popping up saying 'Failed to install app configuration unavailable'

I found online somewhere that you should go and delete the folder named 'appinfo.vdf'
Which I have tried, and does not solve the problem.

Can anyone help please ?
