Disable Steam auto start on Mac
How do I disable auto start on Mac? There is no Steam Menu with Settings on Mac:

Yes, there is, with Macs it is called Preferences.

I am glad you agree. Yes, there is the Preferences menu but there is no "Run Steam when my computer starts." option in there.

Open steam then next to apple icon in top left corner steam > preferences > interface > then uncheck - 'run steam when my computer starts'

Or...

1. Go the  Apple menu and choose “System Preferences”, then go to “Users & Groups”

2. Select the user that is active in OS X, then choose the “Login Items” tab.

3. Select “Steam” from this list and then hit the Delete key on the keyboard to remove steam from the automatic launch on login list.

4. Close out of System Preferences.

Guys I have unchecked autostart on Mac Mojave and it still starts with system when MacBook starts up. So what now?

Try removing it from the login items list too, with the minus button.

BTW, "Login Items" is found at the Users & Groups section of Preferences. "Login Items" is at a second tab at that dialog. Press Command + Space, then type "Login Items"
