Steam will not launch at all

Hello, I really need help with this problem. So I got my computer yesterday, and I have been coming over a problem where when I try to start up or launch steam, it shows up on the app dock and disappears right away. I have tried restarting and shutting it down but none of that worked. Anybody know a fix?

Try the following:

1. Close Steam

2. Select your destop so Finder is active.

3. Way on top in the grey bar you will find the GO menu.

4 . Select 'Go to folder'

5. Copy and past the below line include the ~

~/Library/Application Support/

6. Rename the "Steam" folder to "Steam.old"

7. Try again to lauch Steam.

I tried to contact steam support but they refuse to help me because they don't support High Sierra yet, could somebody with a supported version of macOS contact them ?

Also, what logs are you having when you launch steam via console ?

I've the same thing, I suppose the crash comes from the "unsupported compressor" error... Anyone tried the official support ?

I'm trying to contact again steam support. I hope they will not close my ticket because I'm using High Sierra.
