Overlay not working since update (4/15/2017)

its seems like the overlay function doesn't work anymore, I tried to change my option in the privacy settings but it doesn't work.
Anyone else having the same issue ?

Yeah it's not working for me either. Steam in the privacy thingymabob has access to my computer but it's still not working.

same for me, i tried to desinstal steam and reinstal but it still doesnt work! any fix ?

This is only for mac users. PC users still have the overlay.

How come it works for you but no one else? Are you on a MacBook or a PC? Because this problem is only happening for MacBook users. If it's working for you, maybe you could help us out a bit.

I'm having the same issue and it's infuriating. I even tried to use it on another platform (We have a PC but I primarily use my Mac because f*ck it) but for whatever reason, Steam can't even connect to the wifi on there.
Valve, if you're reading this, my suggestion is that you modify the in-game Steam Overlay so it doesn't interfere with the whole "universal access" thing. Honestly it shouldn't even count, technically, since Steam isn't controlling the computer directly if it's just opening an in-game overlay. My main problem with this is that I can't check out from the Mann Co Store in TF2 due to this issue, and with the online store down forever, I don't know what to do.
