Support for macOS High Sierra

Would love to hear something from Steam as to their intent to support the upcoming macOS High Sierra (10.13). I'm planning to upgrade my laptop to the beta and would like to know how much pain to expect. :)

Upgraded to 10.13 overnight. Did some very basic tests to make sure that Steam would run and a game (Rocket League) would also run. Haven't actually played the game yet but it seems like a decent start.

Getting one of the external GPU units delivered today, will report back my results.

I wonder if its going to work with the APFS. Do update when you try with eGPU too.

Yeah I updated to 10.13 with APFS. Seems to work ok. Note to anyone else trying it with the Apple developer beta unit (Sonnet eGFX Breakaway Box)... it works ok with HDMI but really doesn't work at all with display port. This is a bummer since I have a Dell S2716DG display.

ok good to know! And I was reading on a site how the one apple was advertising for $499 needed thumderbolt port only. maybe they'll update it to support all ports.

How can I get content to load on my vr head with mac? or what content can I veiw that is working now for mac?(I have the Graphics kit)

Since 2 years that it existe, Steam don't support it now... It will be great for running games on mac.

Ever since I updated to the GM Release of 10.13, I can't get Steam to fully launch. All it does is crash on launch.

There is a zero support from Steam on High Sierra. I bough Hitman and it stopped working the next day after upgrade to High Sierra. No update ever since.

That is a issue with the game Hitman. Valve can't fix that, the developers of Hitman have too.

Does anyone have any issue with any game running on APFS? I'm thinking about installing a few small games on my mac.

Hi lads..i run steam on 10.13.4 (latest) with no bothers..have had no problems since upgrading when High Sierra first appeared....i only do sim type games as im closer to 50 than 40 Xplane 11, Dirt Rally and F1 2017 run perfectly all the time on mac....g920 wheel works perfectly also.....i did have to move ETS2 over to PC because g920 not recognised on mac for ETS2..that was only issue Ive had ..no issues with the new APFS file system ..xplane 11 was installed before high sierra and its transition was smooth to the new OS..
