HLDS Update Tool failure
I use it to get textures for GMod games, and it used to work great, but it suddenly stopped a few weeks ago, and I can't just redo what I did before because it seems to have committed suicide. Anyone know where I'm coming from? Everywhere I look says that since the new update it doesn't work and that isn't very helpful.

Have you tried to contact Steam Support Center , might give you some hints?

SteamCMD is now used for dedicated servers. Useful Links:

- Start SteamCMD
- When you leave for updates SteamCMD session starts as anonymous as indicated by the Wiki
- When you start session, type app_update command and the number that identifies the dedicated server in this case with Garry's Mod the number is 4020
- After downloading, close SteamCMD with the exit command
- Go to the SteamApps /common folder and the dedicated server will be ready
