Dedicated CS2-server (CLI-based, Ubuntu server 22.04, Intel NUC 11gen i7) - Segmentation fault
Hi,

I have an Intel NUC 11th Gen i7 16GB that I want to convert into a dedicated CS2 server. I have tried both with a regular installation and using Docker, but I end up with a 'Segmentation fault (core dumped)'. The attempt was made with a freshly installed Ubuntu 22.04 LTS server version.

After the installation, that seems ok (Success! App '730' fully installed.), I get the Segmentation fault error message when I return to bash.

Any tips or advice? Good tutorials?

I've tried the instructions found at "https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Counter-Strike_2/Dedicated_Servers" and "https://www.ionos.com/digitalguide/server/know-how/cs2-linux-server/"

Grateful for any help.

Segfaults are most likely a bug in the software, you can't do anything about them except updating. Sometimes they may be the result of a hardware issue, and with Intel CPUs this is currently a bigger topic - check if the last microcode update of Intel (should be about 2 weeks old) changes anything.
