CS:GO - Some Players Can't Connect

I have a VPS with OVH and I host some gameservers for other games, I decided to move onto CS:GO. I started a 100% bonestock server with only changes being higher minrate in the server.cfg and I gave it a hostname.

This is where it gets weird, some players can't connect (2 of my friends and including myself) but then other people can't, even if they're in the same state. sv_region is 255 and I've even copied the same server.cfg settings from my other HL2 servers.

\Reinstalled Ubuntu Server and started fresh, the ports are opened because I am using port 27018 and it lets me in with that port, and I have my Steam token on it. Pure bonestock server, it's very selective with who can join. My friend said when he tries to join it, it just retries 5 times and never lets him in. It doesn't show as "Not Responding" but it acts like they're putting in a false IP when I invite them to my game or give them the IP to connect to.

edit: There's nothing in the console about when they join, it just completely rejects them. If requested I can dig up the logs.

When you invite them via steam and the server is on your local LAN it will give them your private lan address. You need to give them your public ip address.
Other than that do you maybe have a weird iptables setting which prevents certain ip address ranges from beaing able to connect to your server?

It's not hosted on my computer, it's hosted via OVH (Dedicated servers) so it isn't my LAN, but what's even more weird is why some other friends can join and others can't. Yet the same people can join another gamserver (not cs:go) that's hosted on the same machine.

Heeey man. I totally joined just fine, but like. When other dudes tried to join it was like "Nah brah. Not today. We don't like you're kind" and I'm just like duuude... We gotta fix that, ya know? That's like, not good... So yeah man. Any help is apreciated
