Fedora 33: libstdc++.so.6 file not found
the library is provided by package "ibstdc++-10.2.1-3.fc33.i686", but if i install it i get an error that it conflicts with the x86_64 version, and does not install.
this server will only be used to run a tf2 game server, so anybody know of a way to force the install?
i usually run CentOS linux, but fedora has more packages available, with less conflicts, usually.
alternatively, is there a better flavor of linux that runs the server with little to no problems? i have used Debian a little, but i am more familiar (somewhat) with the RedHat flavors of linux.

btw, if it helps, the server is running on an old Dell PE 1950.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I have run servers on Debian for the last 5 or so years without much issue.

well, i don't remember all i did (several libraries installed, some not included in the fedora repo), but i have a run-able server now, finally! i have to get ready for work, but i will work on setting it to auto-start after work, as i don't want to have to leave my laptop running with a SSH terminal open. ;) i have a bonded DSL (25M) connection now, so it should be better than the single DSL (7M) i had previously.
the fun part, after work, will be "testing" my server by using it.

Server seems to be running well from my end. not saying you have to play, but if somebody could report back the ping from the internet side, so i can tell if my connection is fast enough to support X number of players, i would be most thankful! :steamhappy:
the server is hosted at tjfhome.ddns.net

Thanks!

"laptop running with a SSH terminal open" the program "screen" will detach the session from ssh, theres also another program ppl use too, but the name eludes me. I LOVE SCREEN...:Pentagram:

yeah, i have heard of screen. i have since switched over to a systemd start-up, so it runs full-time now. so far, the server runs fine, though not many people use it, so i suspect the ping isn't really all that great.
