What is with all the Gravity Falls hype?

i watched it, just another lame cartoon with unfunny humor and weird monkey children dancing in lamb costumes. I dont really see any humor nor entertainment in this show, but for Disney id say its better than all the rest of all disneys shows. Atleast its not a sitcom... but i dont really get the humor. Ive seen pretty bad fanart and a bit of you know what but im not saying of this show just from a google search, and trust me it stained my eyes. Is this another of thoose horrible cartoons that got famous for no reason? *cough* MLP *cough*

Not that MLP is that bad, i actually enjoyed a few episodes but its not like its the best thing ever.

I've seen a few episodes and it's not quite as bad as I had initially expected, though I don't plan on following it.

I suppose Gravity Falls is the type of show where you need certain tastes in order to really enjoy it. You probably like paranormal stuff and other similar things if you fully appreciate the show.

I love both Gravity Falls and MLP. Both are clever, well animated, and well told. I personally don't like Adventure Time. That's the one I think is completely unfunny.

Agreed, 100%. While I enjoy the design and creativity of Adventure Time, the humor just comes off as awkward to me.

It's a Disney cartoon, therefore it's produced with blatant cross-market consumerism in mind. That by itself is enough reason to dislike it.
