South Park VS Family Guy

Family Guy. For me, Family Guy has been more consistently funny for a longer period of time. South Park seems to have run its course for me.

South park is actually original. They've both got crude humor, but Family Guy is a low-brow take on the old "dumb husband, attractive wife, troublemaker kid, a baby, talking animal" sit-com trope. Both shows needed a couple seasons to really shape into what they are, but the writing for SP has been much more consistant with what they want to be. Family guy just kind of languishes with hit-or-miss cutaway jokes, it doesn't have any unified narritive.

I did enjoy family guy, back when I watched it, but the same's true for south park. I've pretty much stopped watching all TV.

i cant agree more. every show gets stale, and family guy imo was never funny. just 10-14 year old humor. south park was and is great at making fun of EVERYONE, yet there stories have... idk... slipped.
