As for cheaters and hackers, when it comes to multiplayer games it's less about winning and more about ruining someone else's good time. They don't cheat to win, they cheat to make everyone else lose.
Professional circuit? I'm not for sure what you're talking about sir. I only play call of duty for my own entertainment. If cheaters are more less ruining someone else's good time and cheating to make everyone else lose, it sounds to me like you are referring to them as bullies. I however believe there are more people concerned about improving their gameplay, but as I said earlier, the regular player has a big advantage over cheaters.
I'm not sure about how it is in DayZ, except for a couple of gameplay videos, but I've encountered my fair share of hackers. I'm just startled someone managed to hack GO real quickly.
I noted that cheaters who let their aimbot shoot for them are more than likely going to get caught and banned... Most cheaters don't use their aimbots because it majorly exposes them. Idk if you were playing on a VAC-secured server or not or why steam says its not necessary to report cheaters playing on a VAC-secured server because I have seen a lot of cheats on them...
