Games you regret buying.
Just curious if I am the only one to have bought a game during the sale and regret investing the money.

For me: Cities in Motion 2 for 9.99$
A big mistake. This game is so boring and not user friendly. It's a pain in the a** to get your transports going. Maybe I need to give it another go but I can't do it. Bad investment.

Wolfenstein: The New Order ... i'm sorry but I just don't get this game... I just .. don't.
Old Blood was a lot more refined, especially with the engine. As a crossgen game, TNO sat in that awkward space between the two platform generations, using lots of prerendered cutscenes to mask loading times and trying to implement "next-gen graphics" that PS3/Xb360 era devices could still handle at a solid 30FPS.

What was wrong with Arkham Knight?
Bad plot, inexcusable port, no more boss battles, FarCry-ization, etc.

Yet we excuse Devil May Cry 3 for it's PC port.

They didn't go back to milk the ♥♥♥♥ out of it with DLC, there's a mod that fixes the problems on NexusMods, and the game itself is great. Arkham Knight is published by a much more established company that not only had an offshore development studio work on the port, but one that took a massive blow to their reputation simply because they were given the source code 3 weeks before launch. THREE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WEEKS. Yet, Warner Bros promises and pinky-swears that they'll fix it, and all they do is add DLC and add options that should have been there in the first place, leaving the game in an unplayable state for most but still selling the season pass and saying "welp, nothing we can do, sorry guys!"

Not to mention, WB Games is a repeat offender. MKX was and still is atrocious, but it didn't make the same news because Steam Refunds wasn't around to cover our backs.

You would be surprised how many people dislike that game when it comes to these types of forums.

But you're complaining about a port. There's still the console version that works great!

It doesn't change the fact that both MKX and Arkham Knight were extremely underwhelming. MKX turned quick fatalities into drawn-out shock-value formalities, most notably that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ disgusting one for Ermac. It also had a clearly rushed story and the DLC policies are atrocious, not to mention the Tag Team mode from MK9 is nowhere to be found.

Arkham Knight's villains are weak, once again, the DLC is atrocious, the batmobile is shoehorned in to replace the awesome bossfights from the rest of the series... the list goes on for why I hated it. Keep in mind, I thought Origins was a great game despite its launch state. I actually thought the story beat out City's, since the narrative of City lost a lot of momentum with the open world and Origins seemed to handle the open world setting better.

It was probably my least liked in the franchise, you actually don't need to remember that the game even existed

I posted a thread in the AK forums a few months back asking what happened with the lack of bosses. The responses said that the bosses really weren't that good in the previous games so it's not a loss that there were very few in AK.

The only bad parts with the Batmobile were the boss fights that used it. While I will admit these bosses were really bad it wouldn't make me regret buying the game.

While I don't own the DLC myself it looks pretty interesting based off of the trailers I've seen. Only problem I see is the price as I could buy a new 3DS game with that money.

On the contrary, boss battles were always memorable, especially with City and Origins. Deathstroke, Al'Ghûl, Shiva, Killer Croc, Bane, all of them were memorable twists on the gameplay where they had some sort of resistance to your attacks and you had to defend yourself while trying to find what worked. The diversity between brawls, predatory encounters, and bosses really added to the game. Except for Deadshot, ♥♥♥♥ Deadshot. He was fine until that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ he pulled with the hostage, NO NO NO NO NO. NO.

Arkham Knight also had a very weak story and weak villains with loads of plotholes.

Even if you hated the bosses and think the villains were weak (but that can be very subjective) I can't see why that ruined the entire game for you. The gameplay was good and that's the most important thing.

Is there a game without plotholes?

There are games with good plots, and games with generic and mediocre plots. They want $50-60 for a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ port of a mediocre game. Maybe it's not the worst, but it's certainly not good.

Doesn't the PC version work now? If not then buy the console version. People need to learn there are going to be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ PC ports. It's just how developers are.
