I can appreciate that. In my 20's (when I was an aspiring score writer), one of my favorite genres was movie themes/scores.

You will absolutely love this site then: http://gamethemesongs.com/index.php (assuming you haven't already found it).

You can browse by selecting the first letter of the game that contains the song you want to hear...then click the song in the list...

OR

You can type the name of the game in the search field and it will pull up all the songs in that game (which IMO, is a little easier to do if you already know the game music you want to listen to).

I can't remember the names of many games that had music that stood out (although I know there are many).

Red Dead Redemption had some good music if you iconic Western themed music...but this one for me stood out because it went in a unique direction, a more modern feel:

Nice submissions, but the op is looking specifically for VIDEO GAME music...not simply personal interest songs. This thread would get way out of hand if everyone just posted their personal favorite music in any genre. ;)

Well...he (or she) didn't ask for anyone to post their favorite music. The op simply said that the music posted in the op was the best music they ever heard. I made a comment about that...and he/she explained that they specifically were into video game music.

I'm sure it's fine to post w/e fav music in this thread you like...just not sure that's what the op was going after since they weren't necessarily looking at anything outside the video game genre.
