Looking for "local MP (hotseat)" game for me and girlfriend. Any suggestions?
Hey guys,

I was hoping you could help me with looking for a game for me and my girlfriend. I am looking for something simple to play (when it comes to controls) - she is not very experienced gamer. She mostly plays stuff like Cut the Rope, Fruit Ninja, Bomberman and other casual stuff. Genre could be anything really.

I would prefer COOP games rather than something competitive. I don't mind if it's Steam game or not!

Thank you!

Those are not really simple, sadly. I am more looking for some 2D easy-to-learn stuff, not for action packed FPS. Thanks for suggestiong though.

I strongly recommend checking out Rayman Origins. Two-player co-op on that is very fun and it's just an awesome, beautiful game in general.

Great suggestion! I will check that out, thanks a ton!

L4D2 isn't hotseat multiplayer. A hotseat multiplayer game is turn-based, so multiple players can play on the same machine.

Heroes of Might and Magic games are always good for hotseat.

Civilization games might have a hot seat option as well.

And someone else who does not understand hotseat MP.

As for the OP:

Lego series
Worms series
Trackmania
Heroes and Civ as others mentioned, plus MOO II and SMAC

Plus all that crap EA just dumped on Steam through PopCap, but you would be better off with the free on-line versions of Scrabble, etc.

This too!
Also, Jamestown is fun but might be too difficult. It gets hard very quickly due to being a short game.

We actually tried Worms, but run into problem that I was just too good, haha. I mean, I can obviously not try too hard, but it gets less fun - I played Worms series since Worms 2 - that's why I am looking for coop mostly. Not necessarily turn-based, either.

She liked Minecraft, but it's not really what I was looking for.

I will keep looking into your suggestions, thanks everyone!
