Mojo Installer.....what?

I was looking through my HiB account to see how many of my games have linux versions(more than I thought) and a few of the games use something called the Mojo Installer, Can anyone fill me in on this thing, and why use it and not .sh or a .tar.bz2 file?

It's just an installer which will help you through the installation process.

It even recognizes your package manager and create a package for it so you can remove the game later on with it.

Mojo installer is one of several "automatic installers" available these days for Linux. It automatically checks dependencies and will even create a package index of the install with the package manager on most major Linux Distros. This makes installing a game systemwide a lot easier. (As opposed to installing in your user directory.)
