I would post you a link to what *somone* used but I dont want steam to get angry at me.

Like I said. I've gone through several 'reputable' sites that track this kind of thing (yes I realize 'reputable warez site is an oxymoron....). If there were such a way to do it, it would already be widely distributed or at least being talked about. I'm not seeing anything which to me indicates that any news of that is likely to be false.

Until a day-0 site actually lists something I'd be wary of anyone claiming to have this 'working'. You'll likely end up infested with more viruses than a Thai prostitute.
Dude. We need to stop talking about this. "Any discussion of piracy will result in a permanent ban from the Steam Community"

Hahah true! Piracy is bad. Don't do it kids!

Well back on topic! I'm hoping maybe all this bad press makes them drop the price on SimCity5 faster! Maybe we can pick up a deluxe edition for 50% off in a week. They're already offering refunds which is a bit surprising. I mean it's day 0. Despite the issues I really want to get into the game.

Another thing i would like to add here i was just talking to a friend about it and realised that in a few years when EA shuts down the games servers no one will be able to play it anymore since saves are stored online and requires online access to play the game.
so i have to ask is it really worth 60$ for the game when you cant have it forever?
The thought of losing my save data or not being able to play due to server issues turns me away from buying the game

You apparently haven't bought a Ubisoft game. Not being able to play Heroes VI (a single player turn based strategy game) whenever their servers were/are acting silly is one of the most frustrating things I've ever had a game publisher pull on me.

That was the last time I spent money with Ubi... and now EA's doing it... wonder how long it will be until there aren't any publishers left I can buy games from without some suffocating blanket of DRM actively preventing me from playing the games I pay for.

*sigh*

... and I was really jonesing for a simcity game for the last year.

Next up is Activision.

Glad I didn't buy it like I planed to today. Just hearing I can't play it on steam was annoying but after watching Totalbiscut review and the 30 min wait times and always on drm ect ect makes me want to wait and see if it comes out on steam at a later point for reduced price. <3 steam. I don't really feel like downloading another program just to play 1 game when I have over 50 games on steam.

I doubt it will be and im glad it wont. it looks like ubisoft and ea are banding together to compete with steam. considering steam no longer has the network capacity to run at peak hours, i think they need some competition to force them to improve their service quality. ive had trouble just loading their webpage in past weeks and they dont re-route their traffic efficient to use their network as best they can.

Origin however, seems to have quality download speeds and I don't see a reason to not readily use. While I dislike uplay, as they have pretty poor (very very slow) service. Additionally, EA is a major publisher, why shouldnt they compete with valve(steam)?

I have so many horror stores about steam, I am ready to now throw my money at EA. Heck, one of steams updates caused me to -have- to flash my motherboard so a game could work. WHO DOES THAT! I had a choice between risking wrecking my comp, or not playing a game i -paid for. Terrible service, want nothing to do with them, ready to move on, any company who can provide a quality stable service, can have my money. EA realized that people like me are demanding steam do better, and see they are refusing to do so.

Finally, have you ever tried to get tech support from steam... its a non-existant joke. EA has actual tech support.... It seems like a no brainer, EA appears to have a finished product ready to compete actively with steam, and ubisoft seems to also be fed up with them.
um okay that ur choice but i doubt ea an ubisoft is doing to bee consumer friendly thye just tryign to get the money and trying to kill valve and they dont care about good customer service. i rather have steam. valve has less employee. no tech support is actually not bad for less people plz use how many employess in ea there is and valve that huge difference. it takes time for them to answer support but at least they tried to get as much as they can while ea is made of dumbass cfo. and they freakon destroy franchise. ubisoft isnt feed up if they were why is there game on steam they may just trying to get money. ea ithey trying to get rid of valve and monoplize for money and who cares bout customeers. yea they got good tech support but guess what otherwise they are the worst gaming company

Reading some of the angry Twitter feeds was almost sad. People were RAGING about the 30 min delay before they could even TRY to connect again to their server. Some people being forced into an endless tutorial loop because they couldn't contact an EA server. I was a mouse click away from buying that Deluxe Edition too.

Hopefully, a few more of these debacles will get people motivated to vote with their wallets / pocketbooks.

CNET is calling the SimCity launch a "complete disaster" and even their lead reviewer couldn't run the game.
