Well back on topic! I'm hoping maybe all this bad press makes them drop the price on SimCity5 faster! Maybe we can pick up a deluxe edition for 50% off in a week. They're already offering refunds which is a bit surprising. I mean it's day 0. Despite the issues I really want to get into the game.
You apparently haven't bought a Ubisoft game. Not being able to play Heroes VI (a single player turn based strategy game) whenever their servers were/are acting silly is one of the most frustrating things I've ever had a game publisher pull on me.
That was the last time I spent money with Ubi... and now EA's doing it... wonder how long it will be until there aren't any publishers left I can buy games from without some suffocating blanket of DRM actively preventing me from playing the games I pay for.
*sigh*
... and I was really jonesing for a simcity game for the last year.
Next up is Activision.
Good God. WTF are you trying to say?
Reading some of the angry Twitter feeds was almost sad. People were RAGING about the 30 min delay before they could even TRY to connect again to their server. Some people being forced into an endless tutorial loop because they couldn't contact an EA server. I was a mouse click away from buying that Deluxe Edition too.
Hopefully, a few more of these debacles will get people motivated to vote with their wallets / pocketbooks.
Case in point: People were playing Tomb Raider for HOURS before they could even launch SimCity.
Thank you for using three posts to tell us. :P There's an edit button in the upper right corner of every post you make.
