If you had a time machine

what year would you go too ?

i would go to Salem, Massachusetts, 1692 when the "witch" trials were happening.

1 million years into the future. At least it would be something interesting to see.
Past has really crappy healthcare.

Besides I'm pretty sure the laws of physics in Universe are set up in the way that makes timetravelling backwards in time impossible. If it could be done then somebody would have already come back.
And this whole multiverse and brane theory thing is still nothing but theory without any proof.

Ah ...here's the trick though if you believe in a multiverse , by going back in the past you branch and make a new universe...there are no paradoxes , thus by going back you create a paralel universe.

Michio Kaku has done several seminars about this.

you cannot "change" the past , you can only create a new universe , once you go back in the past you jump off your "own" time line and you cannot get back to
your" timeline.

say for example you go back and you cause an issue and your mom gets killed before you were born...what happenes ?... nothing ... you keep on living , you are just in a parralel universe and you will stay there... you can travel forwards on that line , but again , if your on the new line and go back again you just create another universe.

same thing as you cannot change your future....... past , present and future all happens at the same time...

It might be only a theory at this point, but it is the only one that atleast makes any sense.

Definitely the far future (thousands or even hundreds of thousands of years) to see what we have accomplished, morphed into, etc. Would be a little bit scary though.

I'd save Princess Di, seduce her and bang her. Then starting at Columbine High, up until recent I'd phone every PD in every state at all the random shootings in USA-so they know about all the killers doing the random shootings and have time to prevent it from happening.
