Anyone have some Horror movie recommendations?
I've already seen...

Attachment (2023)
What Keeps you Alive (2018)
Midsommar (2019)
Truth or Dare (2018)
Polaroid (2019)
Smile (2022)
Smile 2 (2024)
Color out of Space (2019)
Await Further Instructions (2018)
The Owners (2020)
Kill List (2011)
Oculus (2013)
I am the Pretty thing that Live in the House (2016)
The Babysitter (2017)
The Breach (2020)
The Empty Man (2020)
Creep (2014)
I Trapped the Devil (2019)

I know Creep and The Babysitter have sequels, but I haven't seen them yet. Anyone know of any other good horror movies? It's ok if they're more of a dark comedy like The Babysitter or more sci-fi leaning or supernatural, I like all kinds of horror in a variety of flavors. :)

- the hitcher (original, but remake is also okay)

I think i have it on blu ray (remake probably?). But, i haven't seen it yet. Love Sean Bean, my fav actor ever.

i recommend it! the original hitcher is being a classic horror film, so it is difficult to compare. but the remake with sean bean is quite good! despite usually playing heroic characters, he does quite well as the psychopathic hitchhiker. i actually am preferring the ending of the remake as well, compared to the original. more "satisfying"
Looks like you haven't seen any movies... Rosemary's Baby is my suggestion. There is only one remake worth watching and that is John Carpenter's the Thing, avoid all other remakes and reboots.

I like the second remake too, it is entertaining. Or, in fact it is a prequel but some call it a remake i think?

Tend to agree. But in this movie it was really, really well made imo.
I've enjoyed horrors since a kid, but the one that really impact me are actually based upon true events... or zombies... or comedy...

28 Weeks Later
Texas Chain Saw Massacre
IT (Stephen King)
The Conjuring
Tucker & Dale vs. Evil
Cooties
Split
Sinister
13 Sins
Zombie Land
(etc)

The Babysitter is actually quite a good action horror comedy movie, The Babysitter 2 not so much... but also worth a watch on a rainy day. I would recommend Cooties and Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, if you quite enjoy that horror comedy. Also, Cocaine Bear which is based upon a true story made into comedy horror.

For sci-fi leaning or supernatural, you want to watch the Aliens and Predator series of movies. Then there the actual tv series called Supernatural, which is an okay watch too. I actually like more the vampire leaning movies, such as Priest, Blade, Underworld and I am Legend. Not the goofy glitter vampires that is.

I don't like the horror genre, but here's a film that's pretty entertaining;

I'm a big fan of the V/H/S series. It's got a bump in popularity in the recent years which is nice. Not everyone's cup of tea though which is understandable given that it's found footage (a lot of people are not a fan of shaky cam because it makes them nauseous) and pretty gory. In my opinion, V/H/S/94 might be the best of the lot but a lot of people like 2.
If you want a slow horror and more psychological found footage I'd recommend Lake Mungo. Cloverfield if you like big monsters.

I'm kool with found footage, as long as it's well done. I just recently watched Be my Cat and Exhibit A last week and today I watched Afflicted. Of these 3 Exhibit A was by far the best but it's not horror, it basically documents a family's tragic downward spiral. It's really good. One of the best movies I've seen in quite awhile, tbh.

Cloverfield I've seen but I'll be adding the VHS series and Lake Mungo to the list. Thx.

Yeah I quite enjoyed The Babysitter, haven't seen the 2nd one yet, hopefully it's not too bad, haha.

Since you mentioned Vampires, have you seen Living Among Us? That's a pretty good vamp flick with some laughs thrown in. 30 Days of Night and Abigail are good too.
