Is outlast appropriate for a 16 year old?

It'd be hard to recommend it to 18-100 year olds as is.

It's horror and gore, but it's also downright gross at times. Hold off on that one

i'd check it with your parents buddy, so you dont get into heck.

if you can keep it separated from your life you're probably fine.

its pretty rough in terms of yuck factor, might wanna think twice even when you're celebrating a few birthdays from now.

I was 16 when I played Call of Duty and had my first beer at age 20. Why wouldn't it be appropriate?

The game is definitely 18+, however I remember playing it before I was that age xd, If you watch a few videos of the game then you'll know if you can really handle it.

depends on what level of core is ok for you, but it does have a Mature rating from the ESRB

the outlast games contain heavy violence, including gore/mutilation and even sexual violence. at 16, you are likely of an age where you are able to separate reality from fiction. but still, this is something i would be discussing with any adults or caretakers first. even for pegi 18 games, i would consider outlast 1 and 2 to be on the more extreme side
