I don't want to return to those times. It's more like 4 years of true experience to be fair. But like some people don't get any wiser no matter how old they get, there's also people that lived 5 lifetimes in a few short years.
I'm selling a heated eyelash curler. I'm using Shopify as my ecommerce platform and I'm dropshipping using AutoDs.
The heated eyelash curler has very little competition on TikTok organic, according to Dropship.io.
I got a few sales from Facebook ads but my cost per sale rose to the point where it's unprofitable to sell. I target broad audiences on Facebook (basically, no interest targeting). My cost per click started at $.89 but rose to $4.72.
For me, Google ads just doesn't convert well. I target warm traffic keywords like "heated eyelash curler" and I haven't got sales.
I used to work in the automotive industry, selling parts. Now that I'm retired, I own several properties and earn my income primarily from tenants who rent my residences...
Paid ads do work btw, you just gotta put in the work.
You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Advertising is practically useless when you're just starting out. It's only truly effective once you've already achieved some level of success, it amplifies results, not creates them out of thin air...
You test products and campaigns, find the ones that's performing well, and scale the living ♥♥♥♥ out of them. That's how you make bank with ecommerce. Lots of patience, money and effort.
But I guess there's no point, you're just a delusional boomer that's going to think he knows better than a guy that actually done the thing.
Here is the issue. I do most or all of my purchases on Amazon. And so, if I saw your product on an ad and I was interested in your product I'll do my research and buy the item that you are selling and go to Amazon to purchase it. Why? because Amazon is a trusted site. They also have my credit card stored and its a guaranteed 2 day shipping.
I'm not going to give my credit card to a random on the internet unless its something that I can't find on Amazon. Now put yourself in the shoes of potential consumers. Think about yourself. What would you do? You aren't selling anything that I couldn't purchase on Amazon, or any other big chain site like Walmart.
The thing is most people will look over the product 6-7 time before they purchase that item. Especially if its online, because there are just way to many scams.
Your response proves my point about not knowing what you're talking about. Success in advertising comes from scaling proven results, not throwing money blindly when you're starting out. Testing and scaling work when there's already traction, which is why I said advertising is most effective after you've achieved some level of success...
Also, calling me a 'delusional boomer' just shows you ran out of arguments. Stick to facts, not insults.
But you're not your customer. There's insane amount of money to be made, because the world is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ big. And lots and lots of people will actually buy from a random ass store. Been there done that.
