No most prebuilt are horrible, My next computer though I'll get a computer shop to build it but I'll choose the components.

I can't be bothered anymore.
Theyre fine. Just ensure the shop/retailer has good reviews.
There always will a company that is willing to sell good prebuild, but you are also paying extra and it might prevent you from buying a higher grade component if your budget is fixed.
No, they mix something of correct quality with crap, never buy that, select each part if you don't know how, ask an expert to help you make the right choices, a machine must be balanced, it's super important
Prebuilts are made for a specific purpose, not usually for gaming and probably don't do too well at it.
They DO put a working computer in your hands with alleged "support" if something goes wrong, but when things hit the fan thats usually insufficient or impossible to get it fixed(and to the landfill it goes).

Build your own. Know the major parts and how to know which components are better or worse.
You should generally know that an i9 is better than an i3 processor, but oh boy, be sure you check the price difference. 8GB of ram is minimum to even run Windows these days. Get 16GB or 32GB(fill the machine to the max, you'll have less problems)
Then know what video card you have/want(or if its just a chipset on the motherboard). Will it be enough to run the games you want?
Check the steam store page to look at the Recommended hardware requirements. Then shop to meet or exceed those.
Where does one go to get a good custom gaming PC?

They are built by you, rather than found.

I recently got an IBP prebuilt and its got a 4070 ti super in it, almost 2k but it runs everything I need very well and more!
I'd worry about upgrade ability with a prebuilt PC. Some have so much proprietary junk it is hard to upgrade them in the future. Beyond that, if you get a good deal, they can be OK, just don't expect them to be as good, and in some cases as cheap as a custom build PC.
If you don't know how to assemble a PC, ask a professional to do it, too many beginners have ruined themselves by messing up the assembly...
