Should I stay on PC or move to PS5?
Hey guys, i don't really know what to do.
I'm a huge PC Gaming fan, been playing on it for nearly 10 years now and I couldn't be happier honestly.

My main problem with the actual PC scene are the prices.

Yes, Steam has some amazing deals, but new AAA games are still expensive. On console, I can easily get some new games for 50, 40 bucks and resell them once I'm done with them. I have games in my steam library from like 2020/2017 that I just played for a little bit or finished them and never played them again lol.

GPUs are also getting expensive, but I don't mind buying on the second hand market so this isn't a huge issue for me.

What should I do? Stay on PC or move to console completely? PS5s go for 400€ and as I said physical games are extremely cheap.

There are bundles of steamkeys about! Deals all around you!!! Seriously though it's cheaper on PC than console. I have both the Series X and PS5. I'd personally recommend to go with PS + PC combo. But be aware you gotta pay to play online games...(with the exception of free games).
Yeah, it's a lot of cheaper if you don't buy games right when they come out on PC either. You should just use a Steam keysite like GreenManGaming.com. They have Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (PC Steam key) for $40 over there.

There's also extensions for Steamdb.info which let you know when a game is on sale if it's at its lowest price or if it might be cheaper next time so if you wait for the bigger, cheaper sales you can get good deals in the store itself too. I only use Key sites for games which don't often go on sale or aren't listed anymore in the Steam store.
IF you dont hav e a library of games on PS5 dont bother. the prices are just as if not more expensive on console. and you are stuck on lowest settings. Becide if you dont allready own games, you have to add that to the expense.

You're also very limited when it comes to games. PC as a platform is more open than just Steam. But on Consoles you're limited to the games sold on the Store. Not the case on PC though. Here there are indeed other Stores, some better than others which do have games which aren't on Steam.

You have much more available here on PC than on Console.
To be fair I own consoles and PC and I use PC 70 percent more than consoles. Not saying you shouldn’t own a console. If you can afford one then go for it. But me personally PC is my preferred choice for gaming.

This is, for the most part, completely untrue. Baldur's Gate 3 on PS5 is essentially the same as med-high settings on PC (running in performance mode for 60fps), and it does it for a fraction of the price. It's much easier to optimise for closed architecture of consoles. Many games have had notoriously poor PC ports.

Having said that, I use both, and if I had to give one up it would be the PS5. For me it mostly comes down to modding and my love for games that are much better suited to m+kb.
When modding Skyrim goes too far. I have a skyrim mod where everyone is anime girls and the animals in the game are furries.

Let us not mention that on PC you won't lose games with each generational upgrade. See for console gamers the games you own you may lose if the next gen isn't backwards compatible, or if the digital libraries don't transfer. On PC you always have it because PCs just get more powerful, they aren't fundamentally changing hardware or software like consoles are.
The only console worth getting is the switch because their exclusives are actually exclusives to that system
I would honestly wait until the next Xbox (which might be a PC) or the new Steam Machines come out.
5 Ps5s. Is one PC.

Could always build your own Steam machine using a relatively powerful Mini PC and Bazzite or HoloISO. Though I will admit I would love to see a new Steam Controller with Steam Deck layout and trackpads. I'd definitely use it in docked mode.
if you end up getting a console you will be categorized as a stupid idiot gauraunteed. I garauntee you that ps5 games are more expensive than pc games. You have to look for deals and you will find them on pc.
Who told you that you need a plebstation? Stay on PC.
Also keep in mind that games tend to be more expensive and there's a monthly cost to play online .... so it really depends and don't forget there's still the secondhand market for gpu's
