FPS / shooting games recommendation

I'm looking for fps / shooting game recommendation, where you can simply start the game and shoot things without having to think much. Kinda like Isaac/ROR2/Dead Cells etc.. but FPS style

I always thought quake 3 was more pvp/multiplayer focused ? Does it allow me to fight like hoards of enemies or is it like unreal tournament 2002 (old but gold) where I have to complete maps mission and can then play them vs bots?

You can play with bots whenever you like. And, the game is so good (with some tweaks to make it more modern).

As much as I enjoy the "realistic graphics" and their development, etc.. there's just something about doom and these old school graphics that works so well, like a perfect match.
