We'll have another Kosovo 2.0 like the blue helmets were.

A bunch of well connected soldiers will go "in a peace mission" with a huge salary and do just about nothing.

Because the numbers are the thing that matters. Huge border, huge DMZ, deploy 30k stretched over how many thousand of kilometers? You end up with very thin security.

If they would be serious about it, they'd deploy somewhere in the range of 150k to 300k.

But this 30k is just a joke, a showoff.

Well at least we should be able to agree that ideally all EU member states should spend at least 5% of their GDP on military and create a multi-million man army. Russia is everything you described, and I mean that unironically, and Europe needs to be ready to fight it. Because regardless of how these peace talks go, Russia is going to invade the EU in 4-5 years anyway.
